Tournament Dates:

• October–November 2027

Teams:

• 14 teams will participate, an increase from the 10-team format used in 2023.

Format:

• 2 groups of 7 teams

• Top 3 teams from each group qualify for the Super Six stage

• Then Semi-finals and Final

Qualification:

• Hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe qualify automatically.

• Namibia, despite being a co-host, does not get automatic qualification and must qualify through the ICC pathway.

Defending Champions:

• Australia won the 2023 World Cup and will enter 2027 as defending champions.
